The Hutson Brothers who helped organize the Wstancia Savings Bank have sold their interest to N A Perry of Santa Fe formerly Kentucky. The deal closed this week Monday. Perry recently took 2 control in United States 2 & Trust Co of Santa Fe. A J Green has bought stock in the same institution. Moriarty locals plan to organize Moriarty Savings Bank with Green and others to open after building completion. Perry has banking experience since youth and Grean has been a key factor in the local institution. Deposits and director actions noted in a January report to the Territorial Bank Examiner.

Stella Bane Johnson died Friday morning January 8 1909 at 8 oclock at her Estancia ranch home. She was 20 and married to Roy Johnson of the People's Drug Company on May 1 1907 in Wood county Oklahoma. Survived by husband parents two brothers and four sisters. she was a Christian Church member.

Monday night fire discovered in the cellar of the building vacated by Greg's saloon. Hay and trash stored there ignited, candle fragment found by S. E. Harris. Suspected accidental fire from youths exploring the debris. if not found early, Estancia could have been destroyed.
