Death of Lola Edwards in Estancia
Lola Edwards died at about 6 30 p m Saturday at her Estancia home from a stomach ailment after several months illness. She was about 36, formerly from Weatherford Oklahoma, and three months in Estancia. The body was shipped to Weatherford and interred there on Tuesday.

Auto Line A Sure Thing Boosters Back Estancia Plan
At a Boosters Club meeting in Albuquerque prominent businessmen considered an Estancia proposal to run an auto line to Estancia and Willard. The plan would form a stock company owning cars and roads, with tickets priced at 10 and 12 dollars and funding via Albuquerque patronage in the first year. Alamo Hotel host missing after leaving town with horse
Jeff Franklin, host of the Alamo Hotel, departed last Saturday with a saddle horse from Nisbett Livery and did not return promptly. Riders returned horseless to the bar as accusations of unpaid debts arise from local merchants and suppliers. Franklin's planned credit at Leader met with bills unpaid. several businessmen report losses ranging from a few dollars to about $14, with Willard's rent and beef supplies also unsettled. If caught, he faces severe action under the circumstances.
