Ponten Estancia Couple Wed In Simple Schoolhouse Ceremony
John T. Pope and Miss Maud Nisbett were married Sunday evening at the Estancia schoolhouse. Rev. J. W. Campbell joined them in marriage as bridesmaids Miss Myrtle Nisbett and Mr. Robert Nisbett led the couple to the aisle. The wedding party exited quickly after the ceremony. Supper was served at the Nisbett ranch home. The newlyweds left Monday for Glencoe, their future home.

Fire destroys Romero residence. origin remains a mystery
The large residence of Don Trinidad Romero northeast of town burned to the ground last Friday night. Romero had been away from the home all day and was about to return when the fire started. Insurance covered 1700 dollars, with 200 dollars on furniture. Witness Janes Guy of Swafford Dry Goods Co. Kansas City was in town. Robert Nisbett plans to journey to Mexico for an extended stay.
