Samuel K Bouknight of 2226 Main Street died Tuesday morning at 10 45 in his shop on upper Main Street after about two months illness. He came to Columbia roughly ten years ago from Newberry and worked for Colum aire Fuel Co before starting his own business. Surviving are nine children and several relatives in Columbia Sumter Darlington Eutawville and Japan. Funeral arrangements to be announced. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and the Masons. Dispatch News.

Messrs Lem Hall of Columbia and Lester C Miller of Lexington plan to open a moving picture theater in Lexington around April 10. Death of Mrs Wise of Near Edmund
Mrs J Assman Wise died at her home near Edmund Sunday morning and was buried Monday afternoon at Old Bethel. She was forty years old and left nine children along with her husband. She was a daughter of the late Mike Senn and a member of Old Bethel Methodist church, regarded as a Christian woman of high esteem in her community.

Officers Busy After Whiskey Stills in County
Sheriff E. Austin Roof and rural deputies have pressed the illicit whiskey trade, capturing a sixty gallon copper still and destroying 2,200 gallons of mash in ten days. A forty-five gallon capacity copper outfit was found in operation but the operators fled. smaller stills were also seized and destroyed.

Old Soldiers Will Meet in Richmond Reunion of Confederate Veterans planned
Col Marion Harman, commander of Camp Steedman, announces a June 192 reunion in Richmond for Confederate Veterans and Sons of Confederate Veterans. The four day program includes a cornerstone ceremony for a Maury monument, a grand review with Lee Davis Jackson and Stuart in bronze, addresses by noted orators, receptions, a ball, band concerts, museum visits, and campfires. Lodging and breakfast in private homes will cost from 1.25 to 2.00 per day with meals for guests of the city and state.
