Prominent Chapin farmer Noah Frick shot on farm
Noah Frick a highly respected Chapin farmer and leader in local church life was fatally wounded when a sharecropper named Will Ellen, a Negro, fired a Winchester rifle from about 150 yards away as Frick rode with his son Enoch to divide fodder.
