Mad dog killed in the Pilgrim section
A mad dog in the Pilgrim section was shot by T L Huntley in front of J B Meetze's home after it had bitten eleven other dogs. The animal belonged to D Frank Efird’s fox hunters and was killed in the afternoon as excitement spread through the community. Present were T L Huntley, his wife, and Dr. C T Patrick of Charleston on a business trip.

Loyal professor named to Balmoral and royal visit notice

The annual Center Union meeting last Saturday drew a large Lexington crowd and guests. Speakers from the U S Department of Agriculture D C Badger spoke on Dairying advising five good milk cows per farm to boost cash income and soil fertility. N E Winters discussed Soil Building emphasizing year round cultivation and legumes. A Frank Lever, president of the Joint Stock and Farm Loan Bank of South Carolina, spoke on Farm Credits explaining borrowing methods. All speakers were well received and attentive.

Orphanage Child Dies In Millwood Avenue Accident
Henrietta Todd an Epworth orphan girl about 1 year old was fatally struck by a car driven by T F Phillips yesterday at 1 15 pm on Millwoods avenue opposite the orphanage. Witnesses say the child stepped from a traveling store when she was hit and died within minutes. Superintendent W D Roberts noted the child clutched money in her handkerchief as life faded. Phillips, owner of a grocery store on Millwood avenue, has not appeared and is described as fond of children by Roberts.
