Southern Baptists launch Europe mission drive and appeal
Dr. J Love, secretary of the Foreign Mission Board, outlines a big evangelistic push by the Southern Baptist Convention. The plan seeks $100 million in subscriptions and $20 million in cash by May 1 to fund educational and evangelistic campaigns across Europe, with surveys in England, France, Italy and more. He warns against American overexposure in Europe to avoid fostering professional begging while pledging renewed support for Baptists in postwar recovery.
