Miss Louise Blizzard won the Friday election to represent Dillon at the Marion May Festival on the 5th proximo. Balloting occurred at several drug stores with strong public interest. Blizzard, one of Dillon’s prettiest and most popular young ladies, will lead a large crowd to the May Day Festival. Mrs Harriet Miles McInnis widow of the late Ste Neil McInnis died at her home near Bingham on the 20th after eight weeks bedridden. In her 76th year she leaves sons James of Sellers and Miles and daughter Addie at Bingham. Funeral services were held at McLeod's burying ground with Rev C J Felder officiating, assisted by Rev S J Bethea.

Train Strike Destroys Truck. Two Teens Injured Near Latta
A train struck the auto truck driven by Tanner and Williams at the Bassintyre crossing near Latta on Friday afternoon. Williams suffered a skull fracture and severe injuries. Tanner escaped with minor injuries. The truck was demolished as the train dragged it several hundred feet. Williams remained hospitalized for weeks. The incident occurred in windy, stormy conditions with a deep crossing cut.

Needam Wallace died at a Fayetteville hospital Monday night after months of failing health. He resided in Little Rock and was a farmer before his health declined. Survived by his wife, several children, and brothers Ira and Arch Wallace near Little Rock, and Tom Wallace near the state line.
