East Huron develops rapidly with Parker Bros showing new show cases and the Dakota Mine opening in the Heineman building. Local firms Weiré Wader obligations to EC Belknap for a paper weight and various merchants display goods as residents witness new blocks and street drainage projects.
A man suffocated by foul air in a well nine miles north of Harrold yesterday. The note lists local items including Harrold area developments, business openings, and new hires such as E. C. Hirris as train dispatcher at Glendive Montana. It also reports street grading, corn stock, frost concerns, and commercial notices from D Pratt’s dry goods store and John Roper Co. sales of teas with a free offer.
A flood of names fills the town records as residents and visitors like Ciptk Bliss, C G Clack, Ralph Cavpaugh, Miss Grace Dickinson, D W Knappen, and many others appear in Miller area notes. A Dakota area Sunday School picnic near town, led by Mr. Lewis Bloodgood, drew about seventy five attendees despite a ill speaker. Activities included a thirty foot swing croquet and various games with ample food and drink, emphasizing care for children and a festive late afternoon and evening. Kilpatric Post No 4G A R held a camp fire supper at Parker Hall on Tuesday with large attendance. Speeches by Rev Seymour Major Coffin Dr Dicken son Gen Mann and others followed a prayer led by Rev Cressey. A religious weekly to be published by Hokostre Publish House with Rev Thompson and Rev Clark aiming for an October first issue.
