A severe hail wind and rain storm swept the area on Wednesday evening causing damage to farms and windows. The Bell farm garden suffered extensive destruction while R D Clark and others reported ruined crops and a injured cow. Over thirty window panes were broken and the county house suffered damage. The storm lasted about thirty minutes and rainfall reached half an inch.
