J M Nickle of Nickle Bros., merchants in Nickleville Pa, states two children prone to croup have attacks prevented by Chamberlains Cough Remedy. He declares it a household necessity and notes sales outpace all other cough medicines combined.
The Columbia defeated the Shamrock in the opening race under gusty wind and rough seas. Official time recorded 9 minutes and 47 seconds. Four more races expected if wind remains favorable.
An advertisement claims deafness stems from inflammation of the Eustachian tube and catarrh. It offers a $100 reward for a deafness case caused by catarrh that cannot be cured and promotes Hall's Catarrh Cure and Hall's Family Pills sold by druggists.
Notice that the regular examination of persons offering public schools will be held at the courthouse in Huron on Friday and Saturday November 3 and 4, 1899 starting at 8 a.m. Examinations for state certificates will also occur at Huron and at Yankton Sioux Falls Mitchell Chamberlain Redfield Watertown Aberdeen and Pierre.
