Labor Leader Testifies on Detectives and Anti Labour Planks

Samuel Gompers, head of the American Federation of Labor, testified that detectives hired by James W. Van Cleave of the National Manufacturers Association harassed labor leaders. He said an emissary offered a bribe to desert labor and cited Van Cleave's role against labor legislation and anti injunction platters in party platforms.
