Engineer Miller Hurt in Willow Lake Train Wreck
A passenger from Huron notes a double header train hit a broken rail half a mile west of Willow Lake during a snow drift. The crash derailed the head engine and caused Miller to suffer a severe scalp wound and a deep knee cut. no deaths reported.

McMonies Sues Yerger Over Farm Possession Dispute
Justice VanDalsem heard the case last Saturday with a venue change before Justice Geddes. The dispute centers on possession of McMonies farm and alleged contract breach by Yerger’s tenant. A 24 hour continuance was granted and a further postponement to next Tuesday was approved. If Yerger yields possession by then the suit will be dismissed. otherwise trial resumes at 4 PM Tuesday.
