Russians Routed by Japanese Cavalry Near Hunghutzu
A detachment of about 400 Russians was routed at Liuchiawopu fourteen miles southwest of Hsinmingtun on February 28. Four squadrons of Cossacks, led by a colonel, fled toward Hsinmingtun, leaving one officer and several men dead. Rumors of a Hun river battle persist as warm weather spurs possible operations.
