Ex-Governor H S Pingree of Michigan died in London at 11 35 p m. His son H S Pingree Jr was the only one present. He had been ill with intestinal problems and underwent injections to ease pain. Pingree, born 1840, served as mayor and governor and campaigned for ad valorem taxation on corporate property. He leaves a widow and two children.

A Large Meteorite Falls Near Crookston Farm
