Farmers Vexed Beadle County Stock Owners Seek Dipping Law Amendments
A Beadle County meeting of stock raisers at the court house pressed for changes to the new cattle dipping law. Farmers argued the county is not a range area and that the dipping requirement would cost money and reduce weight gains, citing examples of cattle reacting poorly to dipping and disputes over county scabby cattle claims. A petition to modify the state board’s order for Beadle County was planned for submission.
