Dakota South of 46th Parallel Constituent Convention Law
A Dakota territorial act urged a delegate convention at Sioux Falls to draft a state constitution for the area south of the 46th parallel. It sets 107 delegates, election June 30 1885, procedures for organization, oath, funding, officers, and eventual congress submission. It empowers the convention to outline state boundaries, elect officers, and levy taxes for expenses up to 20000 dollars.
