Denver reports 3700 men unemployed with more joining daily. Relief funds prove insufficient and Dean Peck with Rev. Uzzell push for aid as 15000 people need immediate help. Meetings are held nightly with Denver's prominent citizens helping distribute food through missions.
About 150 hungry Colorado miners halted in Boone on their way East after commandeering a Chicago and Northwestern freight. Local authorities arranged a meal on ground east of the roundhouse with 100 loaves of bread 100 pounds of bologna 40 pounds of cheese and 60 gallons of coffee. The group remained orderly and boarded the next train.
Chicago July 26 The traveling salesmen parade drew over 12000 participants despite heat. Represented were 44 states and six foreign countries. Notables including Mayor Harrison and President Higinbotham of the world's fair viewed the procession. The Travelers' Club House on Michigan Avenue was dedicated in the afternoon and a Trocadero program followed in the evening.
Sal Lake Utah July 26 46th anniversary marked by a large gathering at the Mormon tabernacle with Governor West and President Woodruff addressing the crowd. The tabernacle choir of 400 provided music and old pioneers joined in the camp fire chorus of fifty years ago.

The Baltimore and Ohio express derailed one mile east of Munroe Falls at 4 30 a m when rails spread on a curve. Five coaches plunged down a 10 foot embankment. About 80 were injured with five serious. All passengers were taken to Akron hospitals by special train.
Ottawa reports Sir John Thompson British arbitrator and justice minister is in the city. The department believes the United States won the Behring Sea case and Thompson is seeking concessions. The view aligns with earlier Paris argument wrap up.
Frank M. Sproe nle of Chicago arrived in St Paul and secured the arrest of Jacob W. Loewenberg, an agent for the firm, on embezzlement charges. The warrant covers losses since February totaling about $5,000. Loewenberg is jailed and has given a 14 page confession.
Wasasua Minnesota follows up a box car theft with Otto Burkhardt Henry Smith August Singer and Fred Trichler bound over to the grand jury. Burkhardt posted bond while the others remain in jail. Henry Schneider also bound over after being arrested for receiving stolen property. More arrests expected.
Pine City Minnesota July 26 The St Paul and Duluth conductor and engineer who violated the law requiring all passenger trains to stop at county seats were tried before Judge Neenhoven and fined fifty dollars each An indignation meeting will be held to prepare to fight the case to the end Conductors and engineers will be arrested daily until the case is settled
Pine City Minnesota July 26. Police hunt for masked men who robbed Mrs Waverceck at Rutledge last Friday. Posse is on the trail, working day and night. The suspects hide in a swamp as searchers encircle the area. Officers supervise the hunters to prevent harm to the robbers.
William Hanscomb, held as an accessory to the Mead murder since March, released on 2000 dollar bond last Saturday, was rearrested on perjury charges by District Attorney Benjamin A. Goldberg in Waupaca Wisconsin.
Anoka Minnesota July 26 a man employed by John Nelson of Ham Lake was gored by a bull and perhaps fatally wounded. He teased the animal and it charged.
Wisconsin Fire and Marine Insurance Company bank, known as Mitchell's bank, suspended operations after a $18,341.71 claim and appointed receiver B K Miller Washington Becker with bonds of 1,000,000. The bank held $1,365,000 of city funds and served as the Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul railroad depository. Cashier Murphy claimed the bank was not insolvent, only facing a draining run and needing time to realize assets.
Three banks failed in Indianapolis on the same day with runs at others. Indiana National Fletcher's and the Commercial closed. Fletcher's was a private bank strong in history, founded in 1834.
Merchants National Bank suspended operations in Louisville and at 1 30 p m the Fourth National Bank closed its doors.
Hodgeman Manufacturing Company of Sandusky is in receivership with Clark Rude appointed by the court to manage affairs. The firm is described as one of the city’s largest manufacturing concerns.

The business portion of Hollow Rock Tennessee was destroyed by fire overnight. Only The Record office and Lovelace and Bros store remain standing.
Plainview Nebraska reports a night robbery at the local bank with about 3000 dollars stolen. The bank did not open for business the following morning due to the incident.
Pottsville Pa July 26 E J Gayner railroad contractor made an assignment for the benefit of creditors without preferences. Judgments amounting to nearly fifty thousand dollars have been entered assets nominal. In Hopsos Wisconsin on July 26 James Stickney and John Smith pleaded guilty before Judge Reid to burglarizing a hardware store in Baldwin. An attempted armed confrontation by eight burglars was thwarted by Erickson who seized a weapon and warned the group to surrender. The two burglars face penitentiary terms for their crimes.
Report from Ex Pago dated July 26 describes a system moving 20 to 30 Chinese nationals nightly from San Francisco in bond to Cuba and Vera Cruz, then across the Rio Grande border. A wealthy company allegedly charged $150 per person plus expenses to bring them into the United States through a Mexico Cuba route.
A portion of the mail train from Boston to New York derailed near Dodgeville station at 1 01 o clock. The wreck left a car blocking the main line and involved several mail clerks. Further details and injuries were not fully reported.

In Wembr ry Kansas at shaft No 387 deputy Grant and guards repelled a strikers mob that fired into the mine at 1030 p m. More than 100 shots were exchanged but no deputies were hurt and the mob fled after seeing guards stand firm. casualties among attackers unknown.
Six Winchesters were loaded on the Memphis train at Nichols station. The train carries many African American workers called to take strikers' jobs. Report says the men were unaware of a strike and many refuse to enter the mines.
