Doesn’t Worry inton Conductors
The North Western plans to use train auditors on the Dakota division to verify cash fares and deter conductor dishonesty. Auditors would board trains unseen, compare reports with conductor records, and help detect or prevent theft. The test is on routes from Curzon Iowa and Fond du Lac Wisconsin, with possible main-line rollout. The Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul railway may follow.
