A dedication service led by Dr. Thomas inspired a large congregation with a Luke 19 10 based sermon on the church's supreme mission. The building fund reached 1860 pledged and cash within thirty minutes, and total day receipts reached 2022 with a final service setting apart the church for its purpose.
Wednesday night the Redmen installed officers for the year after a program with the Huron concert orchestra. Great Sachem C. F. Probhere of Aberdeen gave a talk on the order. Officiants included H. A. Van Dalsem as Sachem and J. L. Jellineck as retiring Sachem. A banquet followed with remarks on the ladies present and a late dance.
Miss Rose Bick died at Long Beach California in the morning from brain fever. The news came as a terrible shock to her parents Mr and Mrs Bick and to the entire community.

Mrs Mary B French died Thursday January 9 1908 at age 77 after years of devotion to family and faith. Born December 4 1830 near Wheeling West Virginia she leaves children Dr C H French president Huron College Louise French and Mrs W R S Anderson of Lake Forest Illinois. Funeral held with Rev J P Anderson and interment in Grand Ridge Illinois beside her husband.
Secretary Pasik thanked friends of the club as fifteen thousand dollars and her check was sent.
