Horrific sextuple murder found near Winona ranch

Police report a brutal six victim massacre on Rev. Thomas Spicer's ranch near Winona North Dakota. Victims include Mr and Mrs Spicer their daughter Mrs William House her year old twins and Mrs Waldron mother of the postmaster. Indians suspected after a man seen nearby and axes or clubs used in the slaughter. Tension grows as Standing Rock reservation lies nearby and whisky fueled trouble looms.

Death in the Ring at Manhattan Club

Benny Cole died after a first round boxing bout with William Wright at the Manhattan Athletic Club in Cincinnati. The inexperienced youths clashed, Wright drove Cole against the ropes, and a right hand blow left Cole limp and dead two hours later. Police arrested Wright and several officials and others are being sought.

North Dakota House approves a stringent railroad regulation bill, largely mirroring Iowa law with changes.
