New Railway Lines Bring Promising Rural Growth
Chicago era reports a planned Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul Railway extending from Grenham South Dakota to Butte Montana. The line will pass Walworth Boreman Schnasse Hettlinger Bowman Billings counties and open arable land along with government homesteads for settlers and merchants. Mobridge in Walworth County is the line's first eastbound station.

Winona businessman F L Holbrook departs for home after arranging a new hotel in Huron to open March 1 1907. He says the Royal will be the best furnished in the state with thirty baths and heating, aiming to attract citizens and travelers.

Number the Houses to Speed Huron Mail
Huron sees rapid growth with many new houses lacking street numbers. Postmaster Lonfistaff says non numbered addresses hinder delivery and the department may enforce district numbering. Mail volume rose about 40 percent last year with receipts up 33 percent from 1904.
