Dairymen Close Eleventh South Dakota Session

The eleventh annual session of the Dairymen and Buttermakers of South Dakota adjourned after a day of papers and discussions. Hon. John H. King spoke on the creamery as a developing agency, tracing its impact and predicting wealth for South Dakota. Officers Leland Griffin and C. P. Sherwood were re elected, and attendees called the convention very pleasant and profitable.

The Dakota Conference Year Book lists 11 430 members in the eastern state region across 167 churches and 88 parsonages. It records 79047 dollars spent on ministerial support and 15179 dollars for benevolent enterprises, with debts totaling 814153 dollars. Sheriff Kerr Captures Desperate Cattle Thief Jim Sontag

Sheriff Kerr arrested Jim Sontag, wanted in Sanborn County for stealing cattle and horses. Sontag was found at his father’s Campbell cottage after a tip, restrained until morning, and jailed. Moody was convicted earlier. Sontag faces a possible five year sentence.
