Degrees will be conferred upon a class of candidates at a special meeting of Hermon Lodge No. 6 in the Masonic temple tonight at 7:30. The ceremony marks a sea disaster casualty list tied to the lodge’s fraternal activities.
From Harwich and Parkeston, 110 survivors from the Aboukir Cressy and Hogue arrived last night. About 700 men were saved from roughly 2,000 aboard the three cruisers. Survivors told of torpedoing by German submarines and the desperate scramble during the sinking.
