Parsons Souders announces a sale of new goods at 20 to 35 percent off due to a forced remodeling. The upstairs selling space will be renovated for about three months, with all on hand goods stored by June 1st as space on main and basement floors is unavailable. The aim is to make many new friends without losing the old.
Social items note a gala day in Sarais district with a Wallace Sardis track meet on Friday May 14 at Wallace. Events include 100 yard dash mile run 220 yard dash high jump and more for seventh grade or higher. A Sardis Wallace baseball game follows with tennis to come. Evening features Wallace Methodist Episcopal church promotion exercises with Prof. M. J. Abbey of West Virginia University delivering the class address and L. S. Whiteman awarding diplomas.
