Beal Released In Forgery Case In Edinger’s Presence

Positive evidence showed Beal did not forge Ernie Bender’s name to the order in Edinger’s presence. John Beal, arrested near Underwood by Constable H. T. Davona, was arraigned in Judge Squine David’s court and released as the state failed to identify him as the forger. The mine clerk received the pay abatement and told the man, who then brought it to Glen Elk and had Ignatius Edinger cash it noting Bender’s name. The initial purpose was $2 and the actual forger remains unidentified. Edinger is the loser in the transaction.
