The Democratic ward convention in Baltimore Maryland opened at 12 21 with delegates seated. Temporary Chairman Parker led the platform presentation as credentials chair Folk Blanchard and Rayner spoke urging party unity while others mulled possible nominees.
A dynamite accident at the New Chiefton mine fatally injures 29 year old John Povova. He was handling a box of caps when a fire from his lamp ignited the powder, blowing off his feet and hand and burning his face before fellow workers reached him. He died en route to aid. Survived by parents, two brothers and three sisters, funeral Thursday at 10 AM with Rev. L. Mikash officiating. Burial at Holy Cross cemetery.
Baltimore June 26 new Democratic national committee members include J. N. Moore of Ohio A Mitchell Palmer of Pennsylvania and John T. McGraw of West Virginia as announced today by party officials.

Retired farmer OM Williams aged 44 died at 5 AM Wednesday in a local hospital after more than a year with tubercular trouble. He is survived by a brother and two sons in Clarksburch. Body at Warne Lynch undertaking establishment. funeral Thursday morning departing for Jarvier ville for service conducted by Rev. U R Hess in the church there. Burial in the church cemetery.
