Findley in Justice Court Over Dispute with Shinn

A. Judson Findley prosecuting attorney and Fred Shinn clashed in Justice T. G. Nicowarner's court after a hearing over John Stevens and Ells Allen charged with living together unlawfully as husband and wife. Shinn represented Mrs. Stevens and sought to withdraw the warrant. Findley objected and a heated exchange occurred with a chair seized in anger. The case against Stevens and Allen will be decided later.

Poison Candy Arrest In California Case

Mrs Georgia Burke Simmons of Winslow is under arrest in California charged with sending poison candy through the mail. She is said to be infatuated with H Dagg, a married man from Winslow. A candy package with a third woman’s name on the wrapper led to the arrest. the third woman has been exonerated. The candy contained bichloride of mercury. Simmons claims she is innocent.
