Social items highlight Miss Race honored by friends ahead of her Thursday wedding to Mr Lee Hutchinson. Mrs George Thomas Watson hosted a farewell tea at Miss Race’s Fairmont Avenue home with many of her admirers attending.
Miss Race received a corsage for her honor at a Japanese themed tea hosted by Miss Roberta Plewing on Fairmont Avenue with Iris and wisteria decor. Clara Baker and Lawrence Myers wed in Baltimore with 200 guests, then honeymooned via Boston and Canadian cities. Officers of the Mareato Music Club met at the Waldo hotel to plan the year under new president Corin Atchison. A Harris Cohen wedding followed in Clarksburg with a private Great Lakes trip. A farewell party honored Miss Germaine DeMeester Line as she sails for Europe.
An old advertisement touts Resinol products as a fast cure for pimples and blackheads. It prescribes Resinol Soap with hot water, then Heavnol Ointment, to stay on ten minutes, followed by washing, finishing with cold water. Claims include soothing antiseptic healing for eczema and other skin issues. Sold by druggists with a free trial offer from Baltimore.
At Centennial Hall East End Lew er Circle members hosted a progressive euchre game with a box social from 8 to 1. A list of attendees included Miss Germaine DeMeester and Mrs John Callighan among others. Proceeds go to the new Catholic school building fund and invitations were extended to all interested ladies.
Stout hosts a Saturday evening party with friends, featuring games music and refreshments. Guests include Ocie Dean Kathleen Warner Marguerite Johnson Daisy Morris Rebecca Johnson and George Stephan May Higginbotham Thomas White Donley Taylor James Davidson and James Thewagn South. A Civic Club meeting at Hartland Addition is rescheduled from Thursday June 12 to Wednesday June 4.
