National Road Congress Meets at White House Forum
July 24 1900 at the White House a conference on the national road movement was held with President Wilson receiving a committee from the American Road Congress. The Detroit meeting is set for September 24 to October 4 with delegates including Congressman Frank J Doremus Detroit board officials and leaders from commercial groups. The congress brings together the American Highway Association and the American Automobile Association along with many state and national groups to promote improved roads nationwide.
