University News Notes from Morgantown January 23 University events
University notes report a $100 contribution for the M G A from Morgantown. Sam Chilton of the law class sprained an ankle in Fairmont and could not participate. Dean Hoge received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Temple College and Temple president Purinton presented it. The Military ball is set for February 21. An executive committee for 1998 WVU alumni actions is listed with members from Morgantown and surrounding towns.

Revival grows at Wilsonburg Church as converts rise
The Wilsonburg Methodist Episcopal revival meeting attracts growing interest with fourteen professing saving faith and four at the altar. The community of Willborough is moved and hopes for more conversions as meetings continue at 2 and 7 p.m. Mr Stewart, temperance orator, will speak tonight at the church with Mrs J B Kepner of Detroit in attendance.

No Successor At B and C Amid Rail Policy Shifts
Baltimore report notes no general manager will be appointed after Thomas Fitzgerald's resignation. The B and C management abolishes the position, while Pennsylvanian interests gain control of J and O stock and enforce PRR policies. Taxes Are Paid By Baltimore & Ohio Railroad
Hon Newton Ogdin state treasurer reports receipt of a notice from the Baltimore and Ohio railroad treasurer that taxes for the company have been forwarded to state depositories along its line. The total is 56425140 with 21000 exceeding last year’s payment. After retaining 40000 in the state fund the remaining 524000 will be refunded in March to counties districts and municipalities along the line.

Fielding H. Yost known as Hurry Up Yost visits Gratton area on a quest of friends. An old Fairmont boy and West Virginia University graduate from Morgantown, he learned football tricks and became a renowned Michigan coach, noted for his remarkable coaching career.
