Bank Safe Blown by Bold Robbers in Austell Bank

Robbers blew open a bank safe at the Austell Bank in Austell Ga early today and carried away about 2500 dollars. A posse with dogs chased two men seen carrying bags as they fled the hotel ground floor scene.

Funeral for 26 year old George Beatty in Wolf Summit

The funeral for George Beatty aged 26 was held Monday at 3 PM at Wolf Summit. Rev Wayman led the service. Burial was in Odd Fellows cemetery at O’Neil. Beatty and friends rode a Baltimore and Ohio freight train Saturday night when he fell from a box car and the train passed over him. Remains were found Sunday morning and sent to Wolf Summit. He is survived by his parents Mr and Mrs T R Beatty, four sisters and two brothers.

Ash Chapel Revival Sees Large Crowds and Conversions

Five persons went forward at the Ash chapel revival meetings last night. There have been ninety five conversions up to the present time. The interest in the meetings is still good with large congregations at every service. The revival will continue throughout the week.

Paralyzed W H Gordon Dies at 63 in Union Heights

Paralytic W H Gordon aged 63 died at his Union Heights home Sunday night after a paralytic stroke. He moved here recently from Preston County and had plans to settle on land near Newburg. The body will be taken to Newburg Monday evening for funeral and burial Tuesday.

In Saint Paul Minnesota a blaze destroyed the Grand opera house killing Lieutenant Thorn and fatally injuring Pipeman Wiles McDonnaugh. The damage is estimated at $100,000.

Guard Officers Play War Game At West Virginia Conference

Military officials gathered for an instructional war game on the Gettysburg battlefield map during a conference of the First Regiment of the West Virginia National Guard in Charleston. Captain E. C. In a police court session held Sunday morning Mayor Frankey Moore cleared two men with the same name of a mistaken pension claim. John T. Riley was charged with obtaining $90 under false pretenses after a pension voucher, addressed to another John Riley, was cashed. The other man’s identity mix up prompted the complaint. after explanation, John T. Riley was acquitted and the bank reimbursed the difference.

Funeral for 97 year old Civil War veteran Jacob Clark

The funeral of Jacob Clark was held at his residence in Moundsville on Monday afternoon at 9 o clock, followed by interment in Mount Rose cemetery. He was 97 and a Civil War veteran, father of Alexander Clark of this city, with several sons and daughters surviving.

Prominent Men Attend New York Lodge Memorial Banquet

Prominent members including Patrick H. Bhldids from New York and Jobo P. Sullivan of New Orleans joined a large gathering at a Saturday banquet and Sunday unveiling.
