An assassination attempt occurred today in Tokyo aiming at Prince Aritomo Yamagata president of the Japanese privy council and supreme military councillor. The prince escaped unharmed. the attacker reportedly tried to commit suicide.
A Vitagraph comedy special titled The Servant Problem or How Mr Billington Ran the House plays at the Bijou Christmas afternoon and evening. The cast includes Florence Purnet Zillian Walker Flora Finch and Kate Price. Admission is ten cents for ladies and men and five cents for children, promising strong laughs and holiday entertainment.
The money order department will be closed all day tomorrow at the post office. The register department general delivery and stamp window will be open 9 to 11 a.m. There will be one cent morning city carrier delivery and regular rural free delivery. All departments close in the afternoon and at night.
A Christmas program will be given in Pride's chapel colored, to morrow morning at 11 o'clock. A sermon will be preached by the pastor.
A free Christmas tree concert will be held at the Colored Baptist Church on Wednesday evening. All are invited to attend the event and enjoy the holiday program.

A former Motorman Flowers recalls a 6 to 7 year old attack by a Black assailant who tried to pull him from a tram at night. Flowers fought back, disabling the assailant, who was later presumed dead. The man survived, joined the US Army, and now claims revenge. He plans to return home for Christmas.
Salvatore Lotello an Italian from Pittsburg is jailed for passing counterfeit two dollar notes at multiple city shops. Police say he and another Italian used fake bills at Calallo’s fruit stand on Fourth Street and at a tavern near Traders Alley. They were tracked by Lieutenant Whyte after passing seven fakes and $27 real money.
