Jim Meklocek, a foreigner, assaulted his wife with a heavy bludgeon at 6 0 o clock Wednesday evening. The woman lay unconscious for nearly an hour before a physician revived her. police placed Meklocek under arrest to await the outcome of the case. The attack aimed to gain possession of the child and escape with it.
