West Virginia trip to the links and caves near Horton
Otto W. Ladwig recounts a Morton convention trip with delegates venturing into a cave near Horton in Fandelps county. The group crawled through narrow passages, observed stalactites and stalagmites, and endured mud and water while traveling about 4000 feet above sea level. A lunch hosted by Horton residents fed the party before boarding the railroad back to Clarksburg, August 24, 1908.
