The Myroneus from Rockland Maine sank in Long Island Sound after colliding with the Tennessee bound for New York. Four crew members drowned. others were rescued. Passengers were saved by the Maine and taken to New York. Extensive church repairs are planned, with floor raise and repaint and interior re-trescoing at a cost of several hundred dollars.

Boy's Hand Is Nearly Shot Off
The funeral of C. B. Smith of Sycamore street took place Monday at 2 p.m. Services were at his home led by Rev. D. L. Reid and Rev. Dr. S. K. Arbuthnot, burial in the I. O. O. F. cemetery. Smith died Sunday at 9 a.m. after a lingering illness with tuberculosis. He was 42, survived by wife and three children, and had run a meat and grocery business in the West End until declining wealth forced him to quit. A large number of friends mourn his untimely death.

Addie Swiger sixteen year old son of Leeson Swiger of Center Point lies in Kessler hospital undergoing treatment for wounds from an accidental shotgun discharge Friday afternoon. He was with a companion when the gun slipped from a fallen tree. two fingers and parts of his hand were injured and shot imbedded in his arm. He was brought to the hospital Sunday evening.

The body of Miss Georgia L Morrison was moved from Fairmont to West Milford for burial Monday at 2 pm.
