Elisha Clay Shappned was struck by an engine on the Shock Line rail route and died soon after. Tankaye Clayton, a relay worker on the line, was found alongside the rails. he was brought to Folco hospital where he died. Remains were shipped home from the Clifton-Osborn Undertaking establishment after being prepared for transport.
The Prison Board will discuss contracts and expenditures at its monthly meeting. Officials plan road improvements and cell repairs in the north wing and adjacent areas, with decisions expected on building paving and foundational work.
