Heavy rains sweep city across sections of county
A severe rain storm hit the city yesterday around 1:15 PM, accompanied by high winds and cloudburst amounts that damaged a Central garage door at S Potomac street and toppled tree limbs. Big Spring road poles were partially blown down forcing immediate repairs, while the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. reported minimal city damage due to protected main lines. Weather observer J A Miller noted Keedysville recorded .10 inch with little damage.

Phone Rate Case To Supreme Court
Attorneys for the Public Service Commission plan to appeal the Chesapeake and Potomac rate case to the United States Supreme Court. Bus Driver Slays Woman Then Kills Self in Washington
In Washington Pennsylvania on Thursday 24 year old William Ewing a bus driver shot 23 year old Josephine Behner in front of her workplace and wounded a pedestrian before killing himself hours later. Police traced his car to Forest Street after he fled toward Wheeling West Virginia.
