Mystery milk thefts at Pine Lake draw fish involvement

In Pewter Michigan on September 27 authorities report a herd of Jer orem cows losing milk nightly. A farmer discovers fish entering the lake to drink the milk, followed by others scooping it from the basin. Several fish weighed up to 10 pounds. stomachs reveal milk participation.

Attorney General Rules Election 18 Mandatory

An opinion handed down Saturday by Attorney General Alexander Armstrong states the general election on November 8 requires the election of successors to Chief Judge Morris A. Soper and Judge James P. Carter of the Supreme Deneck of Lakins City and Associate Judge Robert R. Henderson of the Fourth Judicial circuit. No special election is required.

Father and Son Buried in Separate Tragedies

Frostburg reports the funerals of William Winebrenner who died after drinking a homemade beverage and his son James Winebrenner killed in a mine accident at Davis West Virginia. The services were held yesterday in Borden with one wife left behind.

Cavetown Show Ends a Success

The Cavetown Community Show closed Saturday night with broad praise for quality and variety. Prize farm display winner E. Barkdoll edged N. J. Barkhart in a close contest while Beagle pups shown by J. M. Nueman drew NY interest after sale to a noted fancier. Also lauded were the rabbit and Ritten exhibits, frost and flower displays, and a popular candy and cake exhibit. Harold Hichardson showcased taxidermy work amid a lively parade of solar vehicles from local dealers.
