Picnic At City Park By Hood Club In Hagerstown
An enthusiastic Hood Club gathering and picnic occurred at City Park on Saturday afternoon with members and prospective members. Miss Thomas outlined Hood Alumnae plans for Hood College’s fortieth anniversary celebration next June. Attendees included Mrs. Recher, Mrs. Lakin, Mrs. Cannon, and several others, plus prospective members from local and nearby towns.

Clubwomen Plan Fair Exhibits at Hagerstown Fair
County Homemaker Clubs met Saturday to finalize their fair displays led by Mrs. Ray Rohrer of Funkstown. The exhibit features a home garden with bird baths and a rock garden, an outdoor living room with a do it yourself bookshelf, and a model roadside market with products sold by Homemaker Club members. 4 H clubs will display clothing and canned goods and sell drinks at adjacent booths.

Scouts to Have First Aid Tent at County Fair
Washington County Council of Boy Scouts will run a first aid tent in front of the grandstand at the Fair. Three Scouts from each troop will be on duty daily, with an information tent near the fish and game exhibit. All Scouts must wear uniforms and report at the fairground entrance by 10 AM.
