Canvass To Open On October 19th
President George M Bohman of the Hagerstown Y M C A announced the annual financial canvass will run October 19 to 26. George S Humphrey is general chairman with Raymond A Spahr as executive director. The setup has four divisions of six teams each led by a divisional commander. An executive gifts committee is chaired by Bohman. Further details to be discussed at the September board meeting.

Republicans Report Multi Million War Chest For Landon Drive
The Republican National Committee reports total year disbursements of 2.544 million dollars with 1.783 million spent in June to August. Major gifts include 25,000 from Max Fleischmann and 11,350 from Harold Pitcairn and Theodore Pitcairn.
