Hagerstown Light Plant Opening Postponed to September
Hagerstown's new municipal light plant will be placed in operation Friday September 21, according to Fred E Shilling superintendent. Plans had called for earlier opening but electricians could not complete work. The plant has waited finished for weeks with machinery tested but wiring still incomplete. After opening the old plant behind South Potomac Street will be abandoned and the site sold.
