Mrs Marian Q Bell expert in holes management from Maryland University will visit Hagerstown this week to speak to women’s clubs about refinishing old furniture and floor care. The first meetings are planned for Williamsport this afternoon and Boonsboro tonight.
The Mercersburg Academy will open for the scholastic year with services in the Academy Chapel on Wednesday afternoon September 17 at 1 90 o'clock. Rev. Dr. G. E. Hawes of Harrisburg will conduct the address. Priests of the academy are invited to attend. Enrollment is unusually crowded this year with several hundreds of boys being turned away during the summer months.
