Public health head named for Hagerstown and Washington
Dr. W. Ross Cameron, currently Berkeley County health commissioner, will become the first full time health officer for Hagerstown and Washington County. The Washington County Board of Commissioners and the City Council approved the appointment, with duties expected to begin around October first. Cameron, a Nova Scotia native and Dalhousie University graduate, has a noted public health career and will have expenses funded by county city and state health departments.
