U S Fliers Hit Guerrilla Bands Near Saigon
Reports from Saigon say U S fliers strafed an infiltrating guerrilla group on the city outskirts as Viet Cong attacks aim to disrupt South Viet Nam elections. In nearby actions 150 Viet Cong were reported killed and 90 crossed the canal into a dense slum district. American pilots conducted 135 incident missions against North Viet Nam targets including Haiphong area missile transport and storage facilities.

Crash Kills City Man Near Frederick After Route 70 Crash
Terry L. Chaney 23 of 305 North Mulberry Street died at 3 30 p m Thursday from injuries in a Sunday morning crash south of Frederick on Interstate 70 He lost control struck guard rails and a bridge abutment then fell 24 feet to Maryland Route 80 He previously lived in Hagerstown was employed at Allegany Airlines served in Vietnam and is survived by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services are set for Friday at Rouzer Funeral Home with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
