Swastika Wearer Opens Fire Killing One At Labor Day Picnic
A swastika wearing white high school junior fired a carbine into a crowd of about 200 at a Jonesville church Labor Day picnic in Charlotte. Kenneth Wilson, 17, of East Mecklenburg High School, killed 28 year old Roosevelt Davis and wounded three others before killing himself. Witnesses describe rapid, indiscriminate firing with shots heard near a softball field. Police recovered another rifle in the car. Wilson’s motive was not determined.
