Forty five hours of on the job training per week accompany at least fifteen hours in class for the Distributive Education course. Seventeen stores requested thirty five trainees this year, five more than the course can currently accommodate. Council Ends Parking Ban Passed After Traffic Review

New York apple canners have raised growers payments by over 25 cents per hundred pounds from last week, via Appalachian Apple Service. City Council approved a 12 inch water main along Ork Hill Avenue extended to Northern Avenue. Parole Violators Sentenced After House Incident
In circuit court Helen Leola Marcon, 26, was sentenced to one year in the State Reformatory for Women after falling from a second story window during a Sunday altercation at Elizabeth Street. John Weaver, 28, also of the same address, received a one year term for parole violation. Police undercover raid in October 1951 led to their arrests. Weaver claimed a milk bottle struck him while Marcon iland fell headfirst from the window. She received hospital treatment for internal injuries.
