August marriage licenses dropped to 168 from 188 in the prior year with most couples from Pennsylvania and about seventy more from Maryland. Trip Home From 8500 Mile Route Reported by Seabold
Prof W Seabold former agriculture teacher at Boonabboro High School now in Reisterstown and partners Stine Evans Keedysville completed an 8500 mile four week camping trip across 22 states in the west southwest and Mexico. Seabold noted severe drought harming cattle and pastures while farmers in Coahoma county used an airplane to dust cotton for boll weevils.
