Maryland WPA expected to employ over two thousand workers
Baltimore, Oct 30. Francis W A Dryden, State Works Progress Administrator, said 2010 men will be called to WPA projects in Maryland by Friday. Last Friday about 1200 were at work on federal and locally sponsored projects across ten counties including Anne Arundel and Frederick. Tomorrow and Thursday 34 jobs for 1256 men will start in Prince George s, Montgomery, Washington, and Somerset counties.
