Washington county sent 108 participants to the Wartime Project Contest with 16 entrants in the blue superior group. Assistant Counts Agent Vernon Hotte oversaw the boys 44 work yesterday as part of their activities through Looks.
The event recognizes participants including Robert Shoup and Robert Shank for supplying farm products to meet the annual food needs of multiple soldiers. The six top producers receive special recognition while 34 entrants are categorized as white or lower. A judging committee led by R. Kenneth Frey and others evaluated the efforts and allocated honors to standout contributors.
